PROCUREMENT CATEGORY GUIDE

Bin liners for bulk procurement

Compare household and wheelie-bin reference formats from 20L to 240L. Build the specification around the bin opening, depth and collection task, rather than capacity alone.

01

Where it will be used

Household kitchens, workplace collection points and larger wheeled bins. Specify food scraps, mixed waste or another stream so material selection and disposal instructions can be reviewed for that task.

02

Choose by actual dimensions

Send the bin’s rim circumference, width/depth and height, plus the required overhang or tie allowance. Include an existing bag sample or drawing when matching a current supply specification.

03

Opening, gusset & packing

Discuss flat-top, handle-tie or drawstring requirements as project options. Confirm the final bag construction, gusset, seal and packing with a sample and quotation.

04

Thickness & use conditions

Define load, wet or sharp contents, handling distance and change frequency. The thickness and seal brief should be assessed against these conditions, with performance limits confirmed in writing.

REFERENCE FORMATS

Compare the starting points.

Reference capacities: 20L, 30L, 35L, 50L, 80L, 120L and 240L. Selected reference dimensions appear on product pages; missing measurements are confirmed during the project review.

CATEGORY QUESTIONS

Can capacity replace a dimension drawing?

No. Different bins with the same capacity can have different rims and depths. Width, height, gusset and closure allowance are needed for a fit review.

Is a thicker liner always the right choice?

Thickness is one part of the specification. Material, construction, sealing and the actual load must be considered together.

Bring the details into one brief.

Include destination, dimensions, quantity, print and packing. Standard and custom samples, minimum quantities and lead time are reviewed separately for your project.
